Advanced Portal

Coming Q2 2004

The goal of our "advanced" portal is to create a user experience similar in richness to a desktop application. We believe that our advanced e-storefront has succeeded in that goal.

The advanced portal is a high-fidelity site where users:

• interact without constant page reloading.
• can "drag and drop" items.
• can display a "bubble chart" view comparing both price and reviews.
• browse product categories with an expandable menu.
• can adjust the sizes of the display panes..

Note that the advanced portal is currently only available with Internet Explorer for Windows.

Classic Portal

Coming Q3 2004

The "classic" HTML web site uses XHTML and CSS to allow pages to be displayed on a wide variety of browsers and devices - including smartphones and handhelds.

Active Interface will develop a catalog of "skins" for the visual presentation of shopping sites. You can choose from one of our growing list of skins, modify an existing skin, or create your own from scratch. The classic e-storefront follows recommended web standards and accessibility standards.
